Since I was a little girl, I have always dreamt of seeing Stonehenge with my own eyes. I promised myself that I would visit it someday, seeing it at least once in my life.

I have always been fascinated by this monument and the documentaries which tried to reveal Stonehenge mysteries : how were the stones brought there, what was its purpose (worship place ? tomb ? marker for the seasons ?). So every time we were talking about probably taking vacations I was always saying "oh maybe we could go to Stonehenge, right ?".

And this is exactly what we did on our way to Devon, by stopping at Stonehenge. I am really happy that I was finally able to see Stonehenge. It's a child's dream that comes true. And I wasn't disappointed at all. The weather was perfect, it was also the perfect time to watch the stones as the sun was low on the horizon (too bad I wasn't able to stay until the sunset). My only regret is that we weren't able to see the stones from closer. Can you imagine that the hippies did a music festival here, as everybody didn't care at all for these old stones ? Ahh it must have been awesome.
