Though everybody has already wished you a happy new year, I am still showing you my last Christmas present, and also my new Carvela boots, that I bought during Kurt Geiger 50% sale.
Today I will essentially talk about our experience with Modekungen.
I received this Modekungen jumper which is my last present yesterday, although Mathieu ordered on the 5th of december. What took the most time wasn't the delivery, as they choose UPS which costs a lot, but the delay for shipping.
The 23rd of december Mathieu finally received an email to inform him that the order was completed, though they gave the parcel to UPS only on the 30th (crazy uh).
Frankly, to pay 20€ of shipping to receive an order only one month later isn't very professional and respectful of their customers. So ok they announce 3 weeks maximum before receiving your order (including the preparation and delivery of the order), but actually they didn't respect their deadline. I don't mind waiting for an order, but when the shipping costs are so high I expect the eshop to do all they can to ship on time. And on the other hand they don't forget to debit your card immediately when you place your order even though one month later they have to credit your card back (in a delay of 7 days) because they don't have the items you had ordered.
What was the most annoying is that Mathieu first ordered the stunning white poncho, but the next day he received an email to inform him to change his order because they had a quality problem and were removing it from their shop. Ok that is better than receiving a bad quality item. But most of all on the 23rd, in the email informing him that the order was completed, they told him that the second poncho he chose to replace the first one also had a quality problem, and that they removed it from the order and of course it was too late to choose something else. Seriously WTF ?!! So instead of an order where the shipping costs were a small part of the price, they finally represented a third of the price of my jumper. GLUPS. As a compensation they sent us a promotion code, 10% off when spending at least 56€ to use before the 9th of january, that really is a great goodwill gesture.
Well it was quite a bad experience, even though the jumper is really beautiful. They are not really serious, and it seems that they don't have any stock, everything is made when ordered, without informing their clients properly. So I don't recommend Modekungen, unless you are very patient.
So to sum up :
+ Good quality items
- Many problems on their items (2 out of 3 for us), removed from the order for quality problems
- Very long shipping delays (one month instead of 3 weeks for me)
- Expensive shipping costs (20€) especially when items of your order are removed
- Card debited immediately although the order will be shipped weeks later and items may have been removed from the order
